Well, today I called them and there was no respond. I think I have to call a police.

I actually just got an email from them and it totally looks scam... I think all the appartment rentals on CL are scam and should be avoided. They gave me a number in UK for reference and i called the number.. someone picked and they didnt know what i was talking about...
Let me know any findings... My renting date is July3rd-5th..

Called UK reference number also and guy seemed a little unclear what I was talking about regarding the apartment. Have plenty of email traffic with a Mr. Fortune-Brawner but still no confirmation of apartment available. Tried both numbers including the one in question here and left messages. Has anyone dealing with this apartment, person or cellphone had any luck?

One of my regular clients just informed me that he too was scammed by these people. It's unfortunate because if I hadn't been sold out, he would never have been caught up in this mess.

how did you get on with this apartment, we have lost £650.00 we are just in the process of trying to get their bank account frozen.

I read it was a scam just before we paid so I thought I would tell them we have someone in the area that will come look at the apartment and see what they said.. they said to give them a date and the doorman would allow them in... does this apartment not exist or do they not own the room? Does anyone know anymore details that showed up in New York after booking? Wish there was a way to catch people like them.

Has anyone recently been given this phone number as reference for a New York Apartment rental. I responded to an ad on craig's list and Mr. and Mrs. Beach want money sent by Western union. Since I questioned the safety of this I haven't had a response from them.

I called them last Friday and they allowed my friend who lives in Queens to view inside of apartment. So I will pay them money after checking. The booking money is $600.
