First called from 216-744-8762, left message to call back at 877-421-1168.  Scam call about being served papers.  Attempted to phish my social security number and credit card information by giving partial number social.  Went on to state that I could resolve this issue by paying over the phone.

there is a link that decribes this scam in detail at

If you are being sued they don't give you a courtesy call to let you settle it first.  They also don't need your signature OR a witness for a "certified notice of INTENT for a pending legal claim"  either they filed or intend to.  Real process servers DO NOT warn you they just show up and serve you.

The called me, my dad and my dads longtime friend all the way across the country in Florida. We are in Michigan. All within an hours time. They threatened my dad and my dads friend. I didn't answer when getting the call, I was at work. The scary thing is they got my number, my dad and his longtime friend, and knew our names. They were threatening my dad and his friend with legal issues. Very strange. DO NOT ANSWER THEIR CALL! Obviously a scam.

Rec'd call from (216) 744-8762 (Cleveland, Ohio) @ 1:28pm today 10/13/15 Stating his name was Brandon from Process Serving Company seeking (knew My Full First & Last Name & Birth Year), I said this is (my nick name) and he said can you take a message for her (I played along - sure I can take a message,,,) he said he wanted to inform her of a complaint filed against her this morning with case # 15-XXX82 and that to avoid being "served" she needs to call (877)421-1168. When I asked for his companies information , website or email, he said when she calls that number, she will reach "Court Issue Office" and they can answer all her questions to avoid being "served" with complaint. I got the run around when I asked more questions, They just said call that number right away. I said ok. Then hung up and called the police. The deputy I spoke with said, he would forward the info and contact info to the appropriate government office that is in charge of shutting down this type of fraud/SCAM. What pisses me off is that I just moved 4 weeks ago and established utilities in my full name, and that is the name they were trying to locate (that is not the name people know me as)! ugh! obviously, someone gets access to our contact info when we open utility accounts! Cyber-crimes suck! and i hope no one gets duped by these guys! Report it, the more complaints the more attention that fraudulent company attracts, the sooner they get shut down. I know it just means they get a new #, but one down is better than nothing!

Got a call asking for my father, stating that they needed to serve him papers for a complaint. He has been dead for 3 years, and after informing them that he was deceased, they hung up. This is a scam to gather personal information.
