This is a legit call, they left a message regarding a late payment.

OMG!  They keep calling and harassing me.  I get a text on/about the 3rd of each month, saying my payment is late (no I paid it, on time).  The next day, I get the bill in the mail.  On/about the 5th of each month, I pay all my bills online....including Verizon!  My payment isn't due until the 20th of each month!  I ALWAYS pay at least 10 days early. Why are they harassing me?!  I'm about to switch to another carrier!

No, it's not Verizon; it's a scammer pretending to be Verizon's debt collector. My bill is autopaid. No way it's late.

Okay sweet now I know it's a scam then. My payments are through a Verizon in Gburg not Springfield.

They left message said to call 800-754-0961about overdue bill. Sounded automated to me.
Curious why they said to use my phone number as a reference number, I do have an account.
The 800 number they say to call is not the same 800 number to use, that's on my bill.
I don't know what's legit anymore. I'm getting so many scam calls. I recognized a number as one that had called before and was a scam, so I answered to tell them i knew it was a scam and to stop calling me. The foreign sounding guy told me "but I want to talk to you mother f***er". I hung up. Also have 2 voicemails from people claiming to be from the IRS and sounding kinda threatening, saying to call them back and to do it before they take further action.
It's like I don't even want to turn my phone on anymore but I have to. I'm on disability and have to have it.

Legit.  I was behind on my Verizon bill.

It's Verizon. If you don't answer, they text you too.

The phone calls from the IRS are scams. The IRS will NEVER call you, they will mail you a letter. I got a call from that one too. DO NOT give them your information!

My bill is due next week, I've had 3 calls this morning and my boyfriend (same account) keeps getting texts.

You can found out if this number is legit just by calling Verizon using the number you have on your bill to ask about this number.

Just got another call on my landline.  And, a call on my cell phone.  And, a message on my cell phone.  They claim my account is past due.  NO!  It's not due until 20 Oct!  It's still September!
