08/22/07  8:10 pm  called home phone but left no message on machine

8/29/07 7:41 pm est- 2nd call from this number.  caller knew my first name, which i would not confirm. i asked him to  identify himself and he said his name was RAY PETERSON.  he would not identify who he was, why he was calling, nor his company. after a brief exchange of his question " my name, is this you?" to my requests as stated above, he said a word that got cut off when he hung up on me.

They just called me too. Didnt pick up. I keep getting calls from this number and something identified as YPR..?

Has called my house phone at least 10 times in the last two weeks. I havent picked up because of the strange phone number. Never comes up with a name, just says NOT PROVIDED. Just a number. I am glad I havent picked up. Sounds shady.

Yeah, just got a call from a guy who identified himself as Robert.  I'm sure this was a fake name.  Anyways, he was trying to find out number and address information for somebody.  When I asked why, he didn't say.  When I told him that "she" didn't live here (a true statement), he snidely said, "yeah right."  Thats when I lit him up.  I won't say exactly what I said, but he got an earful before he hung up.  We have the RIGHT NOT to have our privacy and dinners interrupted by such nonsense.

At first, this call was coming in as from "440" on the Call Display. We didn't answer because that seemed odd. Then recently it has changed to "Not Provided" "222-222-2440". What a strange number! Needless to say, I still have not answered the call and from what I'm reading, I don't think I will. They don't leave messages either. How long will this go on?!
