224-551-1255 is a "spoofed" number. There are a number of ways to spoof called ID. If you want to know how it is done just google "spoofing caller ID". The people calling are from "Education Advisors" and will only refer to for-profit schools not real, traditional, non-profit schools. What ever you do, do NOT talk to them!

I started getting these calls about a week ago keep
Missing them but can't call back either it's very
Annoying just want it to stop. And I have already told
That company to take me off call lists several times when
They called from other numbers. :(

I receive calls from this number and others of the same type 1-2 times/week. I usually answer so I can tell them to remove me from the list, but they apparently never have because I keep getting calls. This time I asked what their company was for and she replied that they offer "free education information." I told her I didn't need any and asked her to take me off the list. Annoying!!

I received a call from this number about 9:45 am. I believe this is the second time we have received a call from this number. This time I though, I did answer the call, and the only response was the call was terminated from 224-551-1255.

East Indian male w/ heavy accent, poor English skills hawking loan mods via "American Finance."  Partway into a call they will ask if you're on the DNC, having viewed that info, refuse to provide address in NJ. Hopefully someone here can feign interest in their snake oil and find out who they REALLY are.

This isn't the first time for these creeps. They won't quit calling, and I'm tired of their belligerence.   I tried to get help from AT&T, but that was a dead end.  (How can they NOT stop this!!?)  Next stop, BBB....   BTW, some businesses that don't want to receive complaints do have outgoing only phone service; that part of doing business is perfectly legal.

I answered this call. I'm interested in school so I spoke with them. When they transferred me to another line, they asked if I had my GED. I answered back with no and am not interested in getting one. I was then transferred back to the first person I spoke with. He tried to imply I had lied to him about being interested in the program. And that was simply "against his religion and Christianity"!! Ha! He proceeded to tell me when he transfers me again to say that i got my GED in 2011. Now that would be a lie. hummm....What started as a interesting call ended in me being very upset and knowing how to call back and talk to a supervisor.  [***]!!!!!

Got a call from this number.  Male with East Indian accent asked for me by name.  Asked me where I was living.  Got him to repeat question, asked what street I was on and then asked if I was living in Canada or what State like California.  When I asked him why he wanted to know he just hung up.

The reason you can't call them back is because they are probably spoofing the number (using a program that sends out a different number - and is illegal in most instances).  If it's for an online school, which it sounds like it might be - think very hard about any school that pursues students that hard - really most reputable schools won't continue to call if you tell them you changed your mind and don't want to go there.
