Have called repeatedly, even at 8 AM and after 8 PM--left some message about insurance, etc.
The do not call list is worthless with these people.

Received a call from this number at 8:25 in the morning and they did not leave a voice mail message.  The caller ID displayed "Louisiana Call" as if it were a cell phone call but the caller ID name and/or number may be a spoof.

Visit the Do Not Call Registry website---check to see if your RESIDENTIAL number IS still registered; it may have lapsed. While there, check out the EXCEPTIONS of Do Not Call Registry; how convenient that political campaign calls ARE allowed---as are certain charities and statistical poll survey calls.  And do note: Most ALL tele-scam numbers DISGUISE as being made inside the U.S.; they're actually calling from Canada, Mexico ( imagine that )---or overseas locations, like Jamaica, India---and POSSIBLY from less than friendly nations, like Cuba and NORTH Korea!! The AMERICAN Do Not Call Registry CAN NOT STOP overseas tele-scam calls.

Given it's still political vote "run-off" election time, I'm willing to bet that "Louisiana Call" is likely a reserved number for someone's political election campaign; they ARE EXEMPT from Do Not Call Registry ( imagine that ).

Just FYI, once your number is on the DNC registry, it doesn't "lapse". It's there until you remove it yourself. The DNC also can't "stop" any calls, whether from overseas or from right here in the good ole USA. It's not a call blocker, it's simply a list legitimate telemarketers avail themselves of so they aren't calling people who don't want their calls. Scammers, both domestic and foreign, aren't going to waste their time or money on the DNC registry.

No, they're worthless.  Just another government agency that exists for its own sake.  I entered telecom engineering 26 years ago.  This is a fixable problem if the right people wanted it fixed.

Got a call from this number on my phone, then 18 minutes later spouse got a call from the same number. Tried to call back, rapid busy signal.

No message.  Caller ID: St. Francis LA.  Probable SCAM blocked number.

I just got a call and was awaken from sleeping.   Some lile "this is a important announcement then..." recording caught it and it disconnected. I have no idea who, what, and why they called this damn early in the morning. I got their number and I will give them hell if the caught the call again. They will be listening to me...

I got a call at work with this number on my cell phone.  I almost answered because it stated "Advanced Animal Hospital".  My furry feline was a guest there until he was put down 2 years ago.  So thought it was kinda strange to get a call from them until I saw the area code.  WTH!!!!

They left a message promoting burial insurance.  I live not far from St Francisville LA but know no one there.  I'm on both the state (LA) and US Do not Call lists and they are being ignored by this probable scammer.  Anyone who ignores these lists can't be legitimate and should never be trusted.
