If it was, I bet there would be more than a generic speculation.

what could there be beyond "generic speculation" from the general public, would you need a police report, or the full text of the interaction? why would some one take the time to post this for a different reason? lol.
If some one will not show a home before you agree to rent, and stops responding when you ask for owner info or to see the home, do not give them money or info.

I said generic speculation because there are several descriptions of what "scammer home postings" might refer to.
1- Scammer home postings, especially those promising high salaries with minimal effort, are a common online scam. These postings often appear on platforms like Craigslist and social media, and they lure potential victims with unrealistic job offers, requesting personal information or upfront payments before disappearing.
2- Scammers craft property ads that feature properties at unrealistically low prices. They’ll use stolen photos and descriptions from legitimate posts to create listings that look real. When a potential buyer contacts the scammer, they’ll request personal information or upfront payments before disappearing with your money.

That post is the only one that used the generic phrase and nothing about what was said from the call. People who don't know what a call was about are usually the ones who make up something generic.
