Call received on Aug 2, 2024 at 9:58 AM Eastern from this number, "verified caller" according to Boost's ID system. Number was local but not familiar, included the +1 country code (automatic red flag), didn't answer the call and it didn't go to vm (another red flag)

Tried doing a quick online search but nothing came up (yep, red flag). Figured if they're local then it's worth troubleshooting, so I called the number... and after one ring the call was answered by an automated recording scripted for "cold call" sales and phishing attempts. ("Hey, thanks for calling me back, can you hear me okay now?")

Already flagged and blocked it as "Spam". Normally I'd make some snarky comment about Google running the FTC... but all these robocallers, phishers, smishers and what not, this is what y'all wanted. This is what y'all demanded, and canceled your friends and neighbors for trying to stop during the past 9 years.

And until y'all realize we weren't the ignorant ones, you're gonna be the problem. Rant over, soapbox is open for the next "bad guy using common sense."
