- MjenScreenSaversRise slammed my credit card for a $7.82. Caused me the hassle of canceling my credit card, disputing the charge and filing a police report. Beware!!!
- Caller: ScreenSaversRise
- Captain WowMe too! Called my credit union and they are cancelling the card and issuing a new one. Filing fraudulent charge report to dispute the charge. Thankfully the amount was low.
It really sucks, but considering how freely I (or should I say 'we') use debit cards and credit cards these days, it just seems to me that things like this are going to be part of life in the modern world. Kinda like getting a flat tire. Drive long enough and you'll get one. Just have to fix it and move on.
Of course if this was hundreds or thousands of dollars I might be singing a different tune.- Caller: screensaversrise.com

- Kenisha BarronCheck card got hit with a $7.82 charge from this company. I called and left messages and sent the email but of course I haven't heard anything. So pissed
- lindam replies to MGDconfirm similar complaint. got a call from my credit card company for suspicious activity and screensaversrise.com charged my card for $7.90 yesterday. I had never heard of this company before, and did not authorize any such charge.
ended up cancelling the credit card immediately. after a brief search on the web, came across this site, and was horrified, glad I cancelled the card immediately. I did report to ic3.gov site (got there through fbi.gov) and lodged another complaint hoping enough complaints will cause the FBI to shut them down. - KateFound this when I googled ScreenSaversRise.com. I check my online banking statement almost every day, and last week found the $4.82 charge. Figured since I'd never heard of them it was likely fraud, and seem to have been very right. Called my bank immediately, reported it as fraud; they cancelled my debit card and a new one is on its way to me in the mail, along with an affidavit saying I never actually did business with this company.
Most banks and card issuers seem pretty on-the-ball about this sort of thing these days and I had a hassle-free experience and got a prompt $4.82 refund from my bank. Just really annoyed.- Caller: ScreenSaversRise.com
- coreyHave no clue how they got our card number. last place the card was used was Aldis... anyones use there card there?
- Caller: screensaversrise.com
- CarlaAnother victim here...no call...just a debit posted today to my account for $4.82 from "screensaversrise.com". Called the bank, had the debit card cancelled. Also called the fraud department at the bank after reading these comments and suggested they might want to flag as suspicious any debits coming through from this entity. Also filed a complaint w/ic3.gov. Not that any of the effort will be successful in shutting them down.
I'm interested in knowing the best avenue to pursue this....it seems as if the victims are treated as isolated cases and there is no cohesive mechanism to collate the information and have it acted upon globally.- Caller: screensaversrise.com
- heidino call just a debit posted on my account for 4.82 Had the card cancelled and they are sending me a new one. my bank won't refund the money under $20. Keep an eye out for it again.
- Kali415Just noticed a charge when reviewing my bank statement. At least now i know who they are.
- AmandaMy card was charged for 4.82 I called my bank and they cancelled my card. Called the numer and got a message saying they were unavaliable very convient??? If you see a charge from this company get a new card right away! I'm sure the low amount they take is a test. My bank was also nice enough to check and make sure that this was the first time this has happened and they I did't miss something from before.

- el66I just checked my account and found the fraudulant charge of $4.82. I can't believe these people can access our accounts so easily. You would think that the Banking insutry would have already been tipped off to this problem and found a way to stop it.
- wcajunkJust got a charge for 4.82 on my bank acct called bank and cancelled card, I too dont have a clue how they got debit card number. Check your bank accounts.....
- wcajunkThey are in Frostburg Md. called and get a recording they seem to be not from this country lol. Another scam.......
- OMGCredit card charge of 4.82 from screensaversriseDOTcom. Called my credit card company, they put a fraud alert on it and issued replacement. These damn Russian's-the Cold War continues...heading over to the FBI's website, may contact local police as well. Thanks everyone, the postings helped a great deal! (P.S-never did get a direct phone call from them, it just "appeared" on my statement. It wasn't until after they put a fraud alert on it that I got a form to fill out for unauthorized use, that the phone number 240-284-4437 appeared as their "address" on the form, which led me here!)

- TheygotmeI got hit on a credit card that I had just paid off the previous month, so this charge stood out like a sore thumb. I would have noticed it anyway since I track our finances closely using financial software (Quicken). I called my Credit Union, and they immediately cancelled the card, issung me a new one. They will be sending me a form to fill out, and will be crediting my account. Reading these posts was somewhat surprising - not for the fact that this was a fraud, but for the fact that many banks seem to not be very helpful. To me, if a bank or CC company won't refund the money, or charges you to get this straightened out, you need to switch banks or credit card companies!
