    Hang up calls; I hate'um.
    Everyone gets a free pass dialing up a wrong number.
    The second time hang up after VM greeting is diagnosed as not a wrong number thus entered into my evil call blocker __ there is no third chance from this number......
    Hang up calls that go to VM are especially RUDE no matter who or what time of day/night.
    According to above posts it's a debt collector so I'll label as such

    CallerId = Michigan Call
    Just before call from 610-268-6414 CallerID = Portfolio Recov
    Right after call from 800-640-0801  CallerID = Toll Free Call
    Of course they leave no message and I will never answer because I know this is a scam.
    These people are relentless since in the past few weeks I have gotten calls from 312-283-9970 CallerID= PortfolioRecov , 336-481-5060 CallerID= PortfolioRecov, 205-341-1118 CallerID= PortfolioRecov plus so many more.  I believe this all the same call center and they need to be slapped with a billion dollar fine by the FCC.  Congress needs to pass “Robocall Elimination At Last Protecting Every American Consumer's Ears (REAL PEACE) Act” (S. 3668) introduced on November 28, 2018.  This legislation would close the telecom loophole used by robocallers and allow the FTC to prosecute illegal callers.  S. 3668 was not passed before the 115th Congress adjourned on January 3, 2019, and the bill will need to be reintroduced to be considered in the 116th Congress.  Write your Senator!

    Thanks to those of you who identified these parasites. We owe NO debts, and are tired of the scammers. How many letters to our senators will it take for the FCC to take action?

    Well, to answer your question, the FCC does not now or every will have jurisdiction over debt collectors. So I guess it doesn't matter how many times you write to your Congressmen/women. Now as everyone but you seems to know, debt collection laws were passed back in 1977 and are still effective today. Maybe you should take the time to read and learn?

    Yes. Write senator, FTC and States Attorney. This outfit is SCUM of earth and must be stopped. The harassment on cell phone (illegal) and landline all honours day and nt from all over country. Matters not that you have no contract with them. I guess some people will bend after time. Not I. I'm pursuing with all of above contacts and personal attorney.

    By far your response about who they are as a company is not only hilarious, but on point as an explanation of their business practices. We are first human, prior to legitimate or illegitimate debt and should have better treatment with regards to a mere conversation regarding such matters.
