I did not answer, but if is from portfolio, they aren't supposed to call cell phones, I got a notice about a class action lawsuit asking me if they called me during a certain period, and if so, I'm part of the class action

Demanded I give them Money on a Debit or Gift Card? Didn't say anything about Past Debt. Credit Card Scammer Maybe?

Called and left no message.. I believe 'tis is portfolio debt collector thatcalls from dozens of different area codes and numbers. I've been receiving calls for years! It's a scam...

they called again.  Portfolio calls from a billion different numbers.  in short, call blocked again.   but from the posts from other people, i will assume it is portfolio.

Rec'd a call in late afternoon, Saturday.  Actually an American male, not a foreigner, who said he wanted to speak to me and that the call was being recorded.  I told him I did not want the call recorded as it was illegal.  He said it was legal and I informed him that he did not have my permission to record the conversation.  He did not have a line available that was not being recorded.  I asked him what this pertained to.  He said he could not discuss unless I identified myself.  I said call me back and terminated the call.

great idea to block the call!!!  if you can't leave a message then it is not important...

I haven't even received any junk mail from them so I'm not sure what they are even trying to collect on.

They called my fiance at work and asked for me ..
On her personal cell phone that's not legal.. and asked about me  well. That's crap ..
