- AnnoyedThe caller said that through Verizon (& that Verizon owns all of the phone lines in VA??) they would reduce my overall phone bill, through my carrier (& he didn't know whom my carrier was) and that I would be able to use long distance calling @ 10 cents a minute, whenever I wanted. I qualified for this because I have low long distance usage (I don't have long distance on my land line, hence the low usage). The young man got upset with me because I kept questioning this offer and he hung up on me. I checked with my carrier and they were not aware of any promotion of this sort. So I asked about the phone lines and he assured me that they own their lines not some other company. They do have lines that other companies rent but not own. I then googled the number, found it was in Michigan and then I found this page.

- LisaThis caller ADVISED ME due to my low useage of long distance with Verizon that Verizon had selected them as a subcontractor to offer me a lower long distance rate. After I let her do her speil she asked if I had any questions and I said "Well yes, I don't have Verizon..." she hung up on me before I could say another word. Definetly a scam.
- Caller: America Something...Caller ID says CCC
- LitashaYeah, they called me and indicated the same thing about AT&T. I started asking questions and the lady got off the phone right away upset. Boy these people really try to scam you.
- DonnaGot this call to offer lower long distance which I don't use. Caller ID said CCC. When they sent me to supervisor I started asking questions and she hung up on me. Called ATT, this is a scam!!!!!!!!!!Don't accept any offer. They said they were American Select. Don't give them any info.
- StephanieI just the same call about 10mins ago, I asked the guy for their website and he told me they don't have a website, and that he just started working for them. I politely ended the call. AT&T and Verizon need to investigate this number/company that is using their name to lure business.

- JackieI got a call from this number, they basicly told me I was stupid for paying my currant electric rate and they told me (not asked) that they were switching my electric supplier. I told them no thanks, I had to hang up on her, she wasn't going to take no for an answer

- NoDummyHereI just received a call from the same CCC as those above, with the woman saying she was from AT&T and would lower my monthly bill. When I said I was going to get a pen to write down her info, she hung up. This is a scam. They want you to say "ok" while they record your response-- all so they can switch your phone service to their carrier without you realizing it!
If you get one of these calls, ask the person for their name and ID# and all the details of the changes they want to make. NEVER give them any account info, and NEVER say "yes" or "ok" to anything they say. YOU ask the questions and they will hang up quickly! AT&T had no record of any changes to my account.- Caller: CCC -Customer Care Center
- Gail replies to Daniele SerranoI also just got a call from this number saying that they are from CL&P. I asked to take a message end the man said he would just take that as a call back.I will be calling CL&P to report this number.Thank you!!
- Mr. D.this number called, no answer. ccc=customer care center.
- KellydogI just got this call, too. The were talking about the "low long distance usage" thing. I explained that I use the VOIP service through my cable company, so that makes no sense. He was persistent and said that he knew that, but due to "low usage" for long distance, this still applied. I knew that was a lie because I know how VOIP service works. Then he went on about how I use less than 500 minutes of long distance each month. Hahaha....I explained there was no way that was true. My BF lives 3 hours away and we have long talks every single night. And my family lives out of state. So does my ex and the kids call him. That adds up to way more than 500 minutes a month. Then the phone went dead. Lol. Scam, scam, scam.

- M85bThis number calls weekly. Its a scam, they do not give out the real name of the company instead try to get your account number by telling you they are calling from your electric or long distance provider. The corporate number is 781-693-3900. They claim to have no knowledge of this however, upon calling my electric utility (the one they claimed to be calling from), I was told that there is a telemarketing company using this tactic to transfer your current account to one of theirs with out full consent or awareness. They will try to make you think that they can get you a big savings. Good luck getting off their list, nothing has worked for me yet.
