Ive been to an interview and am actually supposed to be taking them 200 bucks to get licensed today. After reading all of this I am a little nervous. I dont know whether I should do this or not. It all sounds true. Ugh. Now I have no idea if I should do it or not.

Called me about an interview...got a similar call from an 810 area code number (also in MI) a few weeks before from another branch (I believe) of this scamming operation. I just hit 'ignore' on my cell when they call! Pulled my resume from Monster.com...I'm changing my privacy settings TO fing DAY!

I also received a call from this company and they were interested in my resume.  I probably will pass on calling them back after researching them.

I received a call from this phone number offfering a position managing some accounts. The "recruiter" was vague. The recruiter tole me he wanted me to come in to talk to their general manager about this position which he said pays $62K. When I told this guy that my car was in the shop and I couldn;t possibly meet with them this week he said he would check back with me next week. I am glad i found this site as I certainly won't go on any "interview" with these scam artists. Caveat emptor should be the motto for people being called or e-mailed by these people.

I just got a call from this same number today! When I got the call I was skeptical. I had recieved a call from a strange number a few days ago. The number left a corny, non discriped, automated message with a return number. I was curious so I called the number back. The woman on the phone asked me for my email address & when I began questioning her on how she got my number & why she needed my email address (when I know its on the top of my resume) she stumbled all over her words saying "I found it on monster or something". Very unprofessional & seemed nervous so I hung up on her.

The woman I spoke to name was Jamie. I was given a quick on the spot interview. She gave me her phone number which was 810-956-0279 if I had any questions. She set up an interview with me at 819 Brookside dr, Lansing MI 48917 (located past the lansing mall by Outback steakhouse). She asked me to bring a resume with 3-5 refrences & dress professionally. She scheduled my interview at 11am tomorrow & said I would be speaking to a Mr Keller.

The reason I decided to look up the phone number is because "Jamie" said the name of the company so fast at the beginning of the call that the only thing I remembered her saying was American. She claimed to have found my resume off Careerbuilder.com. I havent signed on to Careerbuilder in over a year & a half so I know my resume is lost in the shuffle. She also stated that the position was a sales/ sales management position that would train me to reach the management position in 18-24 months. Ive been a student for the last 5 years & back when I posted my resume on Careerbuilder had little to no work experience especially a management role.

Im not sure if the company is a scam or not but based on the responses Ive read Im not gonna waste my time going to the interview either. Im not interested in sales or telemarketing anyway. Been there done that. Im happy I didnt miss class for that

I received a call from this company but they did not leave a message.  I checked my caller I.D. and called the number.  The voice mail asked if I have a resume on Monster.Com and Careers Building, to enter the #4 (or something like that).  I decided to check my computer and low and behold I see all of the above comments.  Another scam.

Just received a call from this number.  Said she was from a local office with American Income, but the area code obviously wasn't local.  Said she found my resume but then the phone went quiet.  Must have gotten disconnected or something, fine by me.

I rcvd a call w/o msg from 248-687-7790... Coincidentally just 416-123-4567.  That number has been reported by several posters also (number is from Ontario Canada).  These are both after posting my resume on Monster Jobs.  There are posts about similar coincidences.

Yep they are back at it!

Same call and since I screen all my calls through websites like this it saved me yet again.  Thank you!

Scam companies have been the number one callers on my phone and emails since I have been looking for work.  These predators are the lowest life forms.

Got a call from this number today. Didn't recognize the number so I sent it to voicemail. A Tammy left a message saying she got my resume from Monster. I couldn't understand what company she said she was with, but said she was calling from the Troy (MI) office. This is about the fifth call like this I've gotten since being laid off and looking for work. Think I'm gonna start answering their calls and just make s**t up like I give a flying f**k about their scam job....

At 6:07pm today, I too received a call from AIL.  I let the call go to my answering machine.  The call came from 248.687.7790.

The person leaving the message was of the name Tammy, and I were to call her back at the number above, but at extension 112.  She said that she had a copy of my resume and wanted to review it with me.

Yes, I'm out of work and looking for a job, however I'm an automotive engineer.  As I read other posts where people said they were told that their resume was found on CareerBuilder, yep, that's where mine is too.  I guess I won't be calling Tammy back.

As a side note, for a few years I've noticed that telemarketers, charities, and the similar have called me at the top and bottom of the hour.  I picked up on that quickly.  It's something others may want to keep track of too, and skip answering the phone during those times.

Just because this position is in sales doesn't mean it's a scam. Especially since it's with a Fortune 500 company and it been around for over 50 years. I'm pretty sure a "scam" wouldn't last that long. If you don't want a job then stay unemployed and suck up all the tax payers money on unemployment, because your "too good" to take any kind of job. If you don't want business to call you don't put your number on the internet.

I have been receiving calls from this number and ignoring them. Finally, curiousity got the best of me and I googled it. 248-687-7790. Definitely AIL. I hit 0 and got a voice mail message saying they couldn't take my call right now and to leave a message..funny because not 5 minutes ago they called me. I left my number and said that if they continue to call me it will become an FTC issue. Two minutes later, I receive a call back from them, asking for me by my first name. I told them I had just left them a message and repeated the message and hung up. Don't engage in conversation with these people, just tell them you will make an FTC complaint against them and hang up. Good Luck all

But do you think it is okay to call job seekers and telling them that there is a position as a manager available with training etc.? And ask further they tell you something just to shut you up and so you go to the Interview.  It is not the sales position that is the scam. It is the way how they do it. That's absolutly not fair. And believe me - not everybody is receiving any help from the government and wasting tax payers money. And our telephone numbers are not in the internet, they are in our resumes and in the resume (when you read it, of course) is stated which occupation or job we are looking for.

I think, you are either with A I L ( Kristy Beard and Mr. Schreiber that are the names I got ) or you have no clue about what we are talking here at all. Sorry buddy - but your statement is misplaced.

My telephone number that I got was 248 687 790  extension  106      first Contact person  Kristy Beard
My Interview would have been with Mr. Schreiber at    901 Tower drive Suite 100   Troy, MI 48098       but after reading all the statements here I will not attend such unsure thing - sales is the very last skill that I got   lol
And when they call me again - I will tell them that I report to FTC in case of another phone call.  heard this would end the annoying calls.
