    this number called my phone saying that i have been selected to recieve a grant of 9,ooo dollars from the U.S. federal government. they asked me to have a security deposite of $250. i am not sure if this is a scam but if someone will let me know from their expereince please let me know.

    SCAM- there is NO grant and it is illegal to pay in order to get a grant, loan, or prize.

    It is NOT the federal government  just a thief trying to steal your money.
