This number called me three times  between 1:46 PM and 1:47 PM. Three times back to back. I'll research on it shows that it is a Robo call. it is ridiculous that you're on the do not call list but yet certain calls or still allowed to go through.  So sick of telemarketing companies.   If I want to buy something I'll do it!  I don't need somebody calling me bugging me to buy something.

Tina, Don't go blaming the Do Not Call Registry for your woes. THAT service works just fine and has done so for over ten years. It affects law-abiding companies in the USA.  It DOES NOT affect criminals and scammers, most of whom use spoofed (faked) phone numbers and call from OUTSIDE of the USA.  They don't give two spits about the USA laws or regulations; hence, the telemarketing nightmare.

Take control of the situation -- Buy a call blocker device from your local electronics store. Do some research on which one best suits your needs. Or, for smart phones, use a free app like TruCaller or Hiya.

Shaunzy, Don't go blaming the victims for your antagonism. THAT service has never worked once, because the government is in bed with corporate-america. What "law-abiding companies" do you speak of? You mean the ones run by Santa Claus, the Easter bunny, and the Tooth fairy. Or do you mean the ones that have over a hundred lawyers, over a hundred lobbyist, donate millions of dollars in out of state moneys to elections so they can rig the Senate & Congress,  ran this country into the ground in 2008 & asked for bailout (AND GOT IT!),  *legally* pay no taxes, *legally* employ illegal immigrants, *legally* circumvent the laws, and legally supported the nazi's during WWII before America entered the war?

You are completely right on one point.  Criminals (including the ones running wallstreet & corporates) - "don't give two splits about US laws & regulation. Hence the telemarketing nightmare". You just don't know who the real criminals are. Go after the big boys, and stop blaming the school kids.

You sound like you work for this 253-243-9636 company.

At no point in Shaunzy's post does he blame the victim.  He is suggesting a very popular solution,  that of obtaining a blocking device.

As for your political comments, take them elsewhere.

The 253-243-9363 number is a menace, which calls multiple times a week. Its a dead give away for the swindle-business not on the up&up. And those swindling businesses think they have a right to annoy people for a living. And listen to them cry about their rights & tell people to "get a blocker". No, knock it off, and stop making a nuisance of yourself.

I get multiple calls and mine is on a cell phone. That is really annoying, particularly at work where it affects my job and I have to answer because it could be a customer or client (I use my phone mostly for work). No-call should be the norm and you should have to sign up for a "Promotion Register", not the other way around. It should be like aps, subsidized phones with ads, pay-your-way for no ads. But if you are paying retail for your phone you should not have to put up with this. I know there are already services for subsidized phones for the homeless (because it is hard to get a job without a phone). Maybe the market will go that way, I hope it does.

    >>  No-call should be the norm  <<

For cell phones, No-call IS the norm!
By law, telemarketers need a signed release to call your cell phone.
So, if you get unwanted "telemarketing" calls on your cell, what does that tell you?

Remember, criminal spammers do not care about laws.

    Consider getting a call blocker!

Yes the 253-243-9636 number has called me repeatedly too. It is one thing to call once, but to repeat call is a public nuisance. I personally would be in favor of outlawing telemarketing all together. Its just a haven for con & fraud artist, and then our taxes has to be spent investigating & chasing abuses, which is fairly fruitless. It's all costing us money & wasting our time. Its more efficient & effective, and even cost-free & labor-free, to just get rid of telemarketing altogether.
