Just got a call and hang up in San Francisco on my cell. Based on comments, this is the theme. Ignore this number moving forward.

Also got a call in SF about half an hour ago.  Missed the call.  

This is a scam marketer hiding behind spoofed CallerID, possibly abusing a VoIP carrier.

They are regionally carpet-bombing cell phones over time. The fact that calls are geographically clustered within a given time frame points to a possible database compromise (Sprint? other carriers?) of phone numbers, rather than a purely random robo-dialer doing the dialing.  

The real villains are the tobacco companies that paid for this marketing campaign, not just the cretins making these calls.

Called me around 6:25pm EDT. I'm also in Ohio. Did not answer. No voicemail.

If I get an actual telemarketing call and its a person talking I try to be polite because I know it's just their job. However I have 0 respect for scammers like this number.

same here, I answered the phone and they hung up after I said hello numerous times in an increasingly threatening manner.

I received a call from this number last evening , don't know the number. I have Tracfone and didn't answer.

They called me three times in two minutes. When I call the number back it say's the number has been changed.

Yeah, getting the FTC to do that is just as easy as hand crafting (no macines or robots) 1000 microprocessors in 10 minutes. The government does not care, unless its power or getting money is involved. The government does not sue, enforce, or even protect its citzens anymore. It only pushes agendas.

First off, the company cannot call after 9pm, unless it is a polling type of solucitation. Like Marcy Kaptur trying to get elected, or issues on the ballot. Secondly, in Ohio, any company must Show their caller ID name, as they call. Therefore, those outside of Ohio (also in PA) must unblock their name, by law. This was passed in 1999...the same exact day PA did theirs too.  Ohio does not seem to keen to enforce their own laws they pass. If they do not get money, government sits on their butts and lets taxpayers and legal citizens get raked over the coals.
