Got a call from 253-248-6400. CID read "wspta". I googled for it, and found This:

This is the Washington State Patrol Troopers Assn.
They are calling for money to support their numerous on going projects.
I have found no way to block them, as they are a non-profit organization and not subject to the telemarketing rules.
The only way to stop these calls is to insist that they remove your number from their data bank.

What a mistake to ever donate to these people.

Checked my caller ID after getting home from work today.  WATRP called 26 (twenty six is not a typo) times before my caller ID ran out of memory.  Talk about tele-abuse.

I have asked them to put our name on their "do not call" list FIVE TIMES and they still call.  When they call, they ask for my wife in a manner and tone as if they are old friends.

I finally have a name of the caller and I am now filing a formal complaint with the Washinton State Attorney General's office.  I've had it with these guys.

I accidentally did when I was a little kid because I thought the officer was going to arrest me. Now whenever they call, I ask "what percentage of this money goes to the cause?" It usually shuts them right up.
