i've been getting a call 2 times a day for the past 4 days.  there is no one on the other line.  this is very annoying. is there anyway to block them?  i called my phone company and they said they cant block specific phone numbers.

i've been getting calls from this number for about 5 days now.  this number is linked to Verafast.  Verafast is also linked to another number that i got a call from on 10/12/07 - (503) 334-1616.  see the notes at https://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-503-334-1616 

another commenter for 503-334-1616 wrote "found that Pac-West Telecomm is listed as the service provider carrier for that number. I called them and spoke to Christine who was very sympathetic and helpful.  She acknowledged that she knows who it is and that their automated phone tool is having problems and that she'd personally contact them to remove my number immediately. She said they usually respond to her requests in less than 24 hours.

I'm extremely hopeful.

Like mary i also got a call on 10/12/07 - (503) 334-1616.  I only got that call once.

Just adding. I've had two calls from 253-248-6410, 410pm on 10/18 and 912am 10/20. A little odd that a number supposedly from Washington is calling at 6am local time.

receiving calls at work, from number 253-248-6410.  Number has called me before...I read that the number is from Verafast?  Anyhow...afraid it is a scam so I don't answer.  Not sure how to prevent calls from recurring...it is pretty annoying.

Got 2 calls one day after the other from this number. Same things, no one on the other end. I actually did enter my number for removal to see what happens. I'll be scrutinizing my cell phone bill from now on. What about the do not call registry? I'm on there. I guess the problem is that I have to be able to tell them but no luck if no one's there.

Received calls yesterday and this morning from the infamous number above.  I am in San Jose, CA.  I have a friend in Sacramento who is getting the same call.  Annoying....

If it is from Verafast, what seems to be a recruiting company, does anyone have their resume up on Monster or Careerbuilder? Just an idea to help get to the bottom of this.

I got a call from "Verafast" number 253-248-6410 at 8:44pm CST. I live in Chicago, it's a new number.
