Unsolicited call from 253-248-6426 with no one on the line.  Heard the word "verification" and the line went dead.

today on my cell, no messages, just missed calls.  I've got the cell listed on do not call also so annoying!

Has called my house 3 times today alone, no message on the answering machine.

4 calls in the past week...no message left.  No idea who this is.

I got a couple of calls from 253-248-6426.  Although that area code is Tacoma, WA, the call was from someone verifying that my new subscription to the Dallas Morning News has been delivered.  This number must belong to a call center.

I have been getting calls from this number the last 3 days, sometimes back to back!!! Really frustrating.......if answered the call gets cut immediately.The caller id just reads 'verification frm'.
Somebody needs to file a case against these kind of people!!!!Nuisance.

Woman called to warn that my newspaper subscription was about to expire, which is true.

I don't know what the deal is.. but they are calling my business cell, yelling for some guy and then hanging up.. I tried to call back and it said ..you have the wrong code..so it must be some kind of scam because you can't call the number back..you don't have permission to call me now or ever and starting in Feb 09 you will have to have my permission in writing to call. You will ever get it..phone records are a lovely thing..charges will be filed.I love the Houston court room

I only have a cell phone, no home phone, or work phone.
Called me yesterday and I just now got a call from them like 2 minutes ago!
I don't answer calls from numbers I don't know so I didn't answer either time. No messages.
But my phone tells me its from Washington.
I usually search for numbers like this so I can see if it's from like a company that I've recently ordered something from but nope...

i just got a call from this number. my number is on do not call. i dont know why they are calling me. missed call no voice mail.

Just got two calls from this numbr, ten minutes apart. . Not sure who they are. No answer when I answered. The second time I didn't answer and no message left.  I won't try to answer again.

2 calls...10 mins apart..no message left. If I don't recognize a phone # I don't pick up...from what I have read here..I am glad I didn't.

My family is getting this call almost 10 times a day and caller ID says its from MRS, whatever the Hell that is

253-248-6426- keeps calling my house phone at all hours.  At least three times a day.  I am registered with no call. Never leaves a message.

Got this call today, 3 times already and it is barely noon, first two were back-to-back. I do not answer unless I know the caller. Don't have any reason for a debt collector to call, so this is ridiculous. We are also on the do not call registry. I wish we were better protected against intrusions into our lives/homes like this, because that is exactly what it is. Mail is one thing because it doesn't have to disrupt your life. A phone call that wakes a sleeping baby...ready to reach through the phone and strangle whoever is on the other end!!!

I have gotten 10 calls from them this morning, and it's only noon! Haven't picked up since I read this thread but it's annoying not picking it up and telling them off!!
