any clue as to who keeps calling from this number

Call from the Houston Chronicle newspaper.  I just started subscribing and she was checking to see how delivery was going.

This number called me the last two days in the late afternoon and did not leave a message.  I typed the phone number in www.superpages.com and it came up as an Unpublished/Unavailable number that is a landline in Tacomawaverly, WA.

Message left saying the automated system was confirming the number. I would be contacted in the next couple days.

Claimed to be a telephone verification system.  I said I was ill and never to call again.

have received 3 calls from this number, no messages left.  When I call the number it is a recording asking me to input my telephone number for verification.  I will not input my number......

Called in early evening.  Left no message.  When I dialed back, the recording thanked me for calling customer service and said that if I want to be removed from their calling list to input my number & that it would take up to two days to be removed.  I hesitantly did.  A week later, I am still receiving calls.  Called from my work number and tried to push 0 for an operator, as well as #, & * then the line disconnected.

left a message that if I did not want to be called again I should leave a number etc.  I am on the do not call list now.

Left no message.

I have been receiving the same calls as well. It's getting annoying.

I have also received several calls from this number and I am already on the do not call list.  It is very annoying.

Has called me 4 times in the last few days, never leaves a message. I picked up one call and it was an automated message that read back its number to me then hung up. I tried calling back and just heard a loud beep.

Receives all at all times of the day, never leaves a message.

I receive numerous calls from this number on a daily basis & there is usually an automated message that says it will try me again later.  Extremely annoying!

I also keep getting calls from this number.  I finally picked up and they claimed to be calling about my new Contra Costa Times newspaper subscription.   However, the number is from Tacoma, Washington and the newspaper is in Northern California.   After asking me some questions about my newspaper subscription (it seemed like they were fishing for something and I felt uncomfortable), they asked if I wanted to extend my subscription for 4 weeks for free.  I said fine, but then they asked for my e-mail address.  I said no way.  I then hung up and called the newspaper.  They have no record of this call and my subscription has not been extended.  This seems like an identity theft organization.  I have a really creepy feeling about this.

I received call from this number today saying my payment for Local paper didn't go thru to Credit card... I know last payment did on 8/20... seems they were fishing for Credit card info... I will be calling Newpaper in the morning...

They've called me about a half dozen times and I've picked up twice. It says its Verifas or something similar and then it hangs up. I will look into reporting them to my carrier, Verizon.

We're on the Do Not Call list, but for the past two weeks this phone number has called my house 4-5 times a day. Never leaves a message. I've reported them to the Do Not Call Registry and encourage everyone to do the same.
