Caller ID showed "VETS". Didn't recognize number so didn't answer. No message left. Number going on call block list.

Scam and slam caller

Caller ID said "VETS" - same scam, different number.  I've gotten the same calls from another number with the same caller ID of VETS - it is 208-917-9288.  I keep blocking them and they keep coming back with a new number.

Caller ID shows this number and shows Vets.....did not leave message. I am on Do Not Call List....guess new year start the scamming again.

Called 9:41am; Caller ID: "Fort Wayne".

Didn't pick up; went to VM:  call-center background chatter, male voice stated "Happy New Year. This is Adam, how are you today?" then disconnected.

FWIW, voice sounded computer-generated, so maybe that background chatter is added to make caller seem real.  Or else he IS real, and just sounds like a robot.  Who knows?  Unsolicited spammer.

CALLER ID showed the call to be from VETS.  The computer voice said his name was ADAM.  They're trying to help prep vets for new jobs and help the homeless vets. If we could help with a small donation ... This is when I hung up - as I'm certain it's a scam.

I answered and asked them to put me on the do not call list. It was a guy calling me by name but I did not give him time to tell me what he wanted. I am on both state and national do not call list. Just really tired of getting all these calls....usually don't answer since I have caller id but this was about the fourth time they had called. Guess we will see if this takes care of this number calling again.
