Got a call from this number today saying I won a vacation to Orlando Florida after putting my name in for a draw on the internet apparently (I don't remember doing any such thing). The lady on the end was asking  about my credit cards,saying I needed them to check into the hotels/rent a car,etc and saying the one I put on the internet was visa or mastercard starting with a 4. When I told her that I got rid of my credit cards she said that they're going to have to give my vacation away and she hung up.

Just got a call from 289-804-2089. The girl said I won a trip to Disney and a free car rental. Said I won an entry (which I do not recall). Started asking for personal information. I asked which company is sponsoring the prize, no answer, said does not know.
Its a scam. Nothing is free!!

I too received a call from a nice sounding lady who told me I had registered on their website within the last year and that I had won a cruise to Bahamas plus some time in Florida, and not only that but I would be getting free use of a rental car. And it your postal code...?  Now - for those of you in Canada, you know the dead give away that the caller was from the U.S.:  I have a "Z" in my postal code.  To us, it's a Zed; but to her, it was a Zee.  Now, the scam warning bell in my head was going off -- so I asked when did I sign up? who was sponsoring the prize (answer= "Disney")? When I agreed that she had my postal code correctly, she then asked if I had a credit card.  I said I didn't.  She then grilled me, essentially, about not having a credit card.  I got the impression that she couldn't believe someone in this day and age could ever get by without one! Having come to the realization that I did not have a Visa, she told me I no longer qualified for the prize. Very politely, she wished me a nice day...   BTW, TRY calling the number and see what happens!

Same here disney bahamas they asked for chris they started to verify my birthday and i hung up as this is the second time they called i expect another one and i guess the only way to get rid of them is to say no credit card cool thanks.

This is a fraud campaign currently active in Canada using a series of Iristel VOIP numbers.  The objective is to obtain your credit card number and drain your account.

If you attempt to "opt out" your number will be confirmed as live and added to a suckers list for repeated future calls.
