I answered because I was expecting an important call from an unknown number. "Amanda" asked "How are you today?"
I hung up.  Another call from the same number 17 minutes later. This time I did not answer. Pests!

Call me day after day, multiple times each day.  Never leave a message.  I will never answer.  When will they get that?

You are on the right track - Ignore and Block does work as way to cut the overall number of calls you get.  AND, there are times you will get caller who will just be a pain.  Try this:
- Block the number, see if that works or if the same caller is switching numbers.
- Don't let those calls go to voicemail.  Voice mail, even if they don't leave a message, sometimes keeps the calls coming.
- Keep a simple record of the call times and days of week.  That might let you turn off your phone, or disconnect from a VOIP if you get your phone service that way.  Then the caller might get messages about the number is not working.

These steps should help, and if you are consistent with Ignore and Block, it will work.  It takes time and consistency.

Thanks Edwards!  They called again this morning.  So when I got to work, I found out from someone how to block the number.  I didn't know how to do this before (I'm old), and now I have a couple more numbers who will get the same treatment!

Called 6 times today and at least 2 times every day since the first of the month.  I blocked the number after the first call and never answer, but they continue calling.  Reported to the FCC, for all the good that ever does.  They are simply scum!!

These people have called constantly over the past weeks. We usually don't pick up, but my wife answered yesterday to keep the ringing from waking our granddaughter. They tried to sell her siding or roofing or some such thing. She told them plainly NO! And DO NOT CALL again.
They have called 3 times today already. Is there some way I can file harassment charges?

Call came in at 11:04 AM on Thursday, July 6, 2017 with the Caller ID showing:  "301-349-9055 POOLESVILLE MD".  These clowns have called before so I didn't bother to answer.

Received a call, allegedly from this number (of course, it wasn't).  Really couldn't tell if it was a robocall, or not.  "Amanda" told me I had been "selected" to receive "free solar" from someone or some company that was anonymous.  I was feeling very "devilish" at the time, so I started screaming something like "...FREE SOLAR !!!  HOT DAMN!!!   YEAH.  SIGN ME UP - ROBOT !!  FREE SOLAR!!!   GREAT KUKOMONGA !!!  Then, I realized I was talking to a "dead phone"  Oh, well, I guess Amanda doesn't share my sense of humor, and otherwise just didn't want to play with me this morning.  Her loss

Recieved a 4 ring hang up on my cell, called the number and recording answered that I was calling a trivia contest line for chance to win Bahamas's cruise. Blocked the number after that

Call from ID = Poolesville, MD. Usual no message left and ID not meaningful. Blocked.

I blocked this number a couple of weeks back, thanks to this website. Saw 35 blocked calls in a row(in one minute!)  this morning from this number. Please block this number if you have not done so already.

9/11 CID "v91112105300137" (Poolesville MD) - several rings, disconnect, no msg - typcal scam/robo call pattern - from all above posts DEFINITELY a scam call - recommend block, if possible
