    Left two messages saying they were the IRS (to my work number, no less).  I called back and guy with foreign accent answered 'hello.'  That ain't no IRS!

    This is the well known IRS Agent Impersonation Scam that has been in the news a lot recently.  There is a warning about this scam on the IRS website and they ask those receiving these calls to report them here:
