Another federal charges against you, call now or doom doom doom scam.

Could barely understand the Asian accent. As the previous poster said, it is some sort of obvious bogus federal charges scam.

The way the scam works, the caller says you are about to be arrested by the government for some crime the scammer invented.  You can buy your way out of trouble by paying a large fine, but you have to pay it right now, over the phone, by giving the scammer your bank account or credit card number.  The scammer uses that information to spend all of your money.
The phone number is spoofed.  The caller is not in the US.  You have not committed a crime.  You are not about to be arrested.

They called my phone # but I missed the called so I called them back and they said they were from the US Treasury, heavy accent so I started yelling at them you are scamming me till they hung up.
I called back 18x and now they have blocked me.  Everytime they answered (every person had a very heavy accent) I just yelled at them til they hung up

difficult to understand due to accent & static- call now or you face federal charges- scam.

Asian accent- message saying that I would have to call them back or have to appear before a magistrate judge.

Very hard to understand Asian Indian telling me that I am facing severe federal charges and that it is important for me to call them back - phone line was filled with static, adding to the difficulty in understanding the caller. Odd that the voice mail came through but the call doesn't appear in my calls received/missed logs. Total spam job.

More of the same. The worst part is there are some people who fall for this crap. I know of elderly and disabled people who answer the call simply because they didn't have anybody else to talk to...so sad! Then there's actually a local teacher (!) and her husband (who works for the state!!) who made the mistake of "playing along". They are hounded incessantly. Well done to everybody for posting here. Keep vigilant!

Received 2 calls, when you say hello the phone is dead.  Do not answer

I guess the guy is working hard today - the apparent scammer left me two threatening messages.

Same call as all the rest reported here, and also same recorded message on calls coming from another number he wants you to call back @ 831-221-9010....it's all a scam folk's, so be cautious when seeing these numbers on your caller ID>

He must be working hard as he is also calling and leaving the same msg to call him back@ 831-221-9010 or I'll be arrested!

Said his name is "Steve Martin".  Threatens Federal Grand Jury and Magistrate.  Really bad English.  Made a terrible career choice.  I hope nobody falls for this idiot.
