Another version of the "We are calling regarding an enforcement action by the US Treasury" scam

I have gotten 3 of these calls.  they said can you give me your name to tell me if I am speaking to the right person.  I said you called me tell me who you are calling.  they said we cant share confidential information with you.  She got mad and said fine you can just hang up the phone.

Left message that was unclear; Mentioned US Treasury; I have had similar calls from other numbers and notes on similar calls was that this is a scam.  Obviously.  mr. mason has called me from several numbers

I called them back. Three calls from three numbers within an hour. I called and pulled a Liam Neeson!

Left 3 messages on my phone same treasury dept scam message, But from 3 different numbers 301-771-9057, 215-560-0140, and 844-553-1067. Bad recording must have worn it out!

This is a fraudulent recording. The US Dept. of Treasury will NEVER call you.

Haha. He said the same thing to my husband. He said "you called me, don't you know my name?" My husband played with him for a few minutes and the guy got mad and hung up. He called again today and left a message. I tried to call back to play with him a bit, but it didn't ring.

Said "officer is on the way to arrest you."

Seemed like a scam about IRS underpayment in 2012.  All people I spoke to (3) sounded of Indian origin.

Caller left a voicemail which was very difficult to hear. It was unclear. Said something about being from US department of treasury. Something about avoiding charges against me and at the end said "please help us help you." Man said his name was _____ Mason (unclear). He spoke with an accent. Obviously this is a known SCAM already. AVOID!!! DO NOT GIVE ANY INFO!!!

This is a scam Google IRS phone scams report this the cops and post it on your Facebook so others do fall for it. They try to scare people saying you can go to jail don't even call them back the number is a spoof number. Scam

Recording had British accent, but when I called I got Officer Johnson with a distinctly Indian accent.  Now to be sure I asked if he was in fact with the United States Treasury.  he said yes.  I asked if he was in fact and federal officer, he said yes.  I asked how much school did he have to complete to become a federal officer, silence.  I asked if they hired him off the street because I was looking for a position as a federal officer and I have a college degree, so I must have a good shot of getting in., silence.  I asked if he could put me in contact with his HR department so I could get more info, he asked what was the reason for my call.  I said I wan to apply and would like to know where I should go to do that, is it UStreasury.com?  He said yes, I asked why the US Treasury doesn't have a ".gov" address and he hung up on me.

This is a SCAM.  Call FBI field office at (410) 265-8080 or the Treasury Department Inspector at 800-366-4484.  Do NOT give information.  Report them immediately.

Auto recording stating us treasury and important to call. Called an 11 year olds cell phone. So I called the number back since the auto message kept repeating which is illegal to do and not have an opt out. When called some Indian guy wouldn't listen to me. Kept calling me linda. My daughters cell is registered with do not call. I yelled at them that what they are doing is illegal and I'm reporting them. That they are calling an 11 year olds cell phone and to remove her number. He kept trying to say he's not a scammer and I said bull. Don't call an attorneys daughter and think you will get away with it.

I just got one today. He left the message on my voicemail. His name supposedly is Kevin Mason....they are sure busy little buzzards!
