Where can we report this Officer Parker and phone number?

Received a phone call from a man with a heavy accent, saying we should call him immediately as the matter was "extremely time sensitive".  He said that his name was Officer John Parker, and said the "hotline to my division is 301-836-5726"  (did not say the division of what though), and that we or our attorney should return his call.  He said that if we don't respond, he wished us "good luck". This number called us at 6:30 a.m. this morning as well but did not leave a message. It is a threatening message that would scare a lot of people to call back.

This man "John Parker" has been calling people and saying he is with the IRS... upon calling him back and requesting more information, he won't give any and then hangs up... so the next best thing is to crank call him randomly throughout the day.  So, don't give this man any info and just mess with him :)

Just received the third call today from 301-836-5726. The in dividual stated that he was an Officer John Parker from the IRS. He stated that if I, or my attorney does not call them, they will come to my home and arrest me. It was an individual with a heavy middle eastern accent. I advised him that my 2 cousins will be there when they come to arrest me, and they are Mr Smith and Mr Wesson and, if another relative was around, when they came to arrest me, Mr Glock would also be there. He hung up....

Got a call this morning. Heavy eastern European accent. Claimed to be officer John Parker and said I need to call about an urgent legal matter - yeah right. The accent was so heavy it made me laugh out loud. I don't know whether to be upset at the scam or just laugh at the utter lack of self awareness!

This is EXACTLY the exact same thing that just happened to my 89 yr dad.  Same guy, same accent, same threat.  My dad has never done a wrong thing in his whole life.  Said he was putting a lein on his car and home......he doesn't own a home any longer and doesn't even have a car now.  What a low life piece of s*@t this guy is...........

My 89 yr old Dad got a call from "Office John Parker" at this number.  Told him to call back. I called this idiot back and was told my dad owed taxes from 2008-2012.  He said he was in violation of IRS code blah blah blah, (in his heavy accent), that my dad is about to have his bank accounts frozen and a lein on his home.  Asked if i had a criminal attorney.  I said no, we didn't need one.  Even gave me case #AS3965 and his officer #24081995.  However, when we hung up, he gave me his name as "Eryc Holder", but his voice mail said "John Parker".....  I know it's the same guy, his accent is undeniable.

you can go to IRS.gov and report this slime ball................  I have a screen shot below from that web site.  (search under fraud, if you don't see it on the home page)

If you get a phone call from someone claiming to be from the IRS and asking for money, here’s what you should do:

•If you know you owe taxes or think you might owe, call the IRS at 1.800.829.1040. The IRS workers can help you with a payment issue.

•If you know you don’t owe taxes or have no reason to believe that you do, report the incident to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA) at 1.800.366.4484 or at www.tigta.gov.

•You can file a complaint using the FTC Complaint Assistant; choose “Other” and then “Imposter Scams.” If the complaint involves someone impersonating the IRS, include the words “IRS Telephone Scam” in the notes.
Remember, too, the IRS does not use unsolicited email, text messages or any social media to discuss your personal tax issue. For more information on reporting tax scams, go to www.irs.gov and type “scam” in the search box.

Additional information about tax scams are available on IRS social media sites, including YouTube and Tumblr where people can search “scam” to find all the scam-related posts.

Report the Calls to the real IRS here:
•report the incident to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration at 800-366-4484.
•You can also file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission at FTC.gov. Add "IRS Telephone Scam" to the comments in your complaint.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

These calls are coming from overseas boiler rooms, with hardcore criminals using VOIP not only to spoof numbers to make them appear they are legitimate---but also making them next to impossible to trace. The IRS has been aware of this extortion scam for over a year.
