Caller ID says "MDTRP". I received multiple calls but they never leave a message.

me too.  they call every day and never leave a message.

I called the number back.  They've been calling me almost everyday for months.  The machine that answers says that it is the "National Fundraising Center."  I don't know what they're collecting for, but they never talk, even when I answer.  The number is registered as a "New Market, MD" number.

I found out it's Maryland Troopers looking for donations.

I keep receiving these calls and become an anoyance.  Is anyone sure these are from the MD State Troppers?

They called us twice today--no message.  I doubt that the initials stand for Mood Disorders Treatment and Research Program :)  The Maryland State Troopers Association sounds reasonable, since the last time we got calls like this they turned out to be from the Fraternal Order of Police--which, as a professional or trade organization, is not a charity and therefore should be respecting the Do Not Call list.
