- PamelaThe area code may be in Delaware, but the fellow on the other end of the call definitely is not. The principal from my 12 year old son's school called because they had confiscated his phone when it rang during class. Repeatedly. The calls were coming from this number that when called, is answered by a man with a very thick accent offering a $60,000 loan. To my 12 year old. Who falls for this?

You're being called by scammers, probably from overseas. They can't do anything to you (except the harassing calls). Next time he calls, tell him you've reported his dumb butt to the FTC, FBI and your state's Attorney General. Let him know that you know he's a scammer and he won't be getting a dime from you.
