telemarketing lower credit card interest rate scam

These people call about once a day from various numbers wanted to see me an extended car warranty. I have opted out through their end but still receive the calls daily. I always block the number but they continue with a different one. I have asked what company they are instead of answering their questions and they immediately hang up.

These criminals will continue to call you as long as you interact with them. There is a "thought process" with these people that they might be able to change your mind. The best thing to do is to hang up immediately when your realize the caller is a scammer.

They buy prepaid cell phones...that is how they get different numbers.  If you want to screw with them, try to keep them on the phone for several minutes...make up an address, etc...that way, you burn up the time on the prepaid cell phone.

No, it's not prepaid phone. It's a robo call from a spoofed number somewhere overseas. Staying on the line only lets them know it's a valid number...even if you don't buy into their scam, they sell your number to someone else as an active number. Just answering the call gives them this information. You can't stop them from calling. The national do not call registry can't stop them. They just sell the number around and you'll keep getting calls until you change your number.

This scam calls me at least once a day from different numbers.   It's a scam telling me to get an extension on my car warranty.  So being obviously I wanna here the offer.
What I was offered: 100% paid new car replacement for theft on my Lamborghini even though I told them it was custom made and untraceable by any sort of registration.  In other words I will supposedly get s free lambo with no proof.

Called my DNC registered landline. No voicemail. The number didn't show up on my phone's CID. It shows up on my service provider's records so they probably disconnected before the call rang through to my home.

Did not give them permission to call my cell phone thus they are breaking the law and should be fined $5000 for each infraction.  Told this to the "representative" who refused to give me their phone number and stated their company name is "Warranty Services."  Maybe we should go after these people to raise some money for our government as I will be you a million dollars they are calling from another country.

And I'll bet you a million dollars they're scammers who don't care they aren't supposed to call cell phones. Where'd you get the $5000 fine for each infraction, though? I've never heard it so high.

You don't even have to interact with them.  They call almost every day. I don't answer and block the number every time. Next day, they call from a different number.

Warranty Services called me so I pressed 1 to talk to a scammer/representative. Got the customary 'Thank you for calling. What year is your car?'

'You called me!'

Silence, then 'Sorry to disturb you, sir'.

'BYTE ME!' as they were hanging up!

Unknown number so I did not answer.  They did not leave a message so it must not have been important.  SCAM

Scam ... Go ahead and block. It will do you no good, they'll just call from a different number later today or tomorrow. I've been blocking numbers for several years. It never ends. I get more scam calls than legitimate ones. Just tell everyone you want calling you to be sure their number projects their ID info, otherwise, don't expect me to answer.
