Hamilton & Jacobs are trying To collect $850.03 from an account that I had with Wachovia/Wells Fargo back in 2007 - 2009 I never had an amount with them of that amount. The account was closed with a $0 balance. I also informed them that my Wachovia account switched over to Wells Fargo and if I had a balance it would of been sent over to the new ownership. They then couldn't say anything about that.  They only accept money orders or your bank account routing number.  Long story short
I spoke with Wells Fargo legal department to verify that I have no balance what so ever and never been sent to any collection agency. Hamilton & Jacobs informed me that they are filling a law suit to collect this debt and forward my information to ChexSystem. I also called ChexSystem and they also stated that they do not have any information concerning this matter. The reason why I am filing this complaint Is that I feel that this is a scam. No one would want there personal information tampered with. I would appreciate if some one can look into this company.

If you want someone to look into that company I would suggest that you contact the FTC, CFPB, and your State Attorney General.  I would also suggest that you visit the FTC "Identity Theft" website.
