it is a scam email and they let this number as a return call.

This guy(tonny adams) contacted me on craigslist and told me to call him about something i was selling or e-mail at tonnyad@gmail.com and give him the info: my name for a check

i tryed calling him and the # was busy each time i called

I got an email from Jane Robert in response to a craigslist ad for a used item.  Here is what Jane Roberts has to say:

"Hello,I am Jane Robert and I just came across your ad and i want toknow if its still available for sale.Whats the present condition and is there any more picture for the item?Kindly mail me back on janerob090@gmail.comHere is my contact number 302 231 1647Expecting your call"

It just seemed fishy. They talk about "this item" and then request MORE photos of "the item", even though there were plenty to begin with on the listing.  
Did  a search for this phone number 302 231 1647
and this website shows up, and turns out its another scam.

If a person responds to this request to reply by email, then Jane Roberts gets more info about your email address and then when someone calls her, they find out your phone number and then can reverse find to find out your address.  I guess that they are hoping you will sign your name to the email or introduce yourself when you call that number and then they've got a scam or identity theft going.

It's too bad there are people like Jane Roberts.

I was sent an email from a Craigslist responder to an ad,  and responder gave herself the name Jane Roberts with a gmail email address (untrackable).  She wanted me to emaail her and then gave this address for me to also call her.  That way, they have a lot of info on you--phone number, name, email account, address.  From there, they can do more.  BEWARE

from "Tonny Adams" and wants additonal money wired to an address in NJ. He also called me using this number: 5167087059

Dude! This guy is trying to buy something off of me! Is it a scam? or is he real?

tonnyad answered my ad on craigslist.  I received a phoney certified check, but I called the bank it was issued on since it was more than ten times the amount asked for.  I am on my way to the local police station to file a complaint.  I am taking all the information I can get and see what I can do.

They also contacted me with this phone number plus the 302-231-1647 number.      I thought it was a scam so here I am reading all the other e-mails.   Also, someone named wendy cerces (?) contacted me about buying an item for more than full price.  I'm sure that is also a scam, so beware.

I too got the same e-mail from tonnyadams@gmail.com. My question is is there a deeper scam then them just trying to get the item for free?

I RECEIVED A REQUEST REGUARDING A CRAIGS LIST ITEM. HE  WAS WILLING TO PAY MORE VIA CERTIFIED BANK CHECK OR MONEY ORDER. I GOOGLED HIS NAME AND SAW THESE COMPLAINTS SO I WAS ON TO HIM. HE LEFT NO NUMBER , BUT WANTED NAME, ADDRESS AND PHONE UMBER. I DID NOT RESPOND TO HIM. THANK GOD FOR GOOGLE AND THIS SITE!!

I received the exact same email, but I think I fell victim, I provided my information. 'Supposedly' I shall receive a check, Ha.. guess not. Thanks for the information!
