Even though I don't answer calls from numbers I do not recognize, a woman I know has been contacted by this same number.  We also have the same carrier for cell service. Is there something that I should know about my carrier?

Called, no message left. Called back because pp said they had a option for "do not call list". All I got was a busy tone when I called.

I have been receiving robocalls from this number advertising a home security system.   I added it to my auto-reject list on my cell phone and now have started receiving the same robocalls from a different number that appears as Unknown.  This is way more irritating as I frequently need to receive calls from my doctor's office and they show up as Unknown, so I have to answer these.

Do Not Call lists are all well and good. But no guarantee for peace of mind. What we should all do is write down the numbers we are solicited by, gathering any information we can get about each one and collecting them. And then finding a way to share them with others who have also done the same until WE have our own very long list of soliciting callers until solicitors are all well known by a large number of people. Those solicitors would then think twice about calling, because working together we can prove the numbers are solicitation numbers and start a class-action lawsuit. Who knows what else we may be able to do if we combine our knowledge and work together. And not rely solely on a do not call list.

Perhaps some computer programmer can create a program and/or app that will allow someone to home in on the physical location of the owner of the number as well so we can find out who owns the number that we cannot find out information on.
