Received call from thick India accent male "needing me to give him access and control over my PC immediately because it had a virus and I was spreading it and was going to be in serious trouble blah blah blah" so I over talked him right in the middle of his speal  and told him "I knew he was a lier and a scammer because I don't own a computer and I was contacting the authorities over this right now" and proceeded to hang up. The phone number says its disconnected if you call it back. I juat had to call it back later, I had a curiosity-cat  moment. Their needs to be more awareness published on these scams.

Been calling the house repeatedly.  
Caller ID says Angela Saxton.  
I get number is no longer in service when I call.
Wife told them "I know you are scammers" and hung up on them. Hopefully they will stop calling.

Call Type: SCAM!!!!! This is a Scam Artist, at best! An extremely dangerous thing to listen to and believe in.

Microsoft NEVER makes calls like this!!!!!! Neither does Apple. And if you're smart enough to use Linux, you're smart enough to know this scam.  

Some moron from another country who can't even understand English, no less speak it, called my land line (which IS on both the National and my State No Call List) to tell me he was "getting 'error codes' from my Windows Computer". I played along with this jack*** for awhile and then informed him that this was impossible because I don't run Windows, I run Linux. This idiotic ignoramus didn't even know what Linux is!!!!! He kept at me and kept at me to do "something" on my computer....I couldn't understand his extremely broken "English". I finally told him that he was a "F****ng Scam Artist". He then asked if I was "abusing" him!?!?!? Oh, this get funnier!!!! I then told him that, "I probably am because [he] was just a F****ng Scam Artist sitting somewhere in China trying to get people to allow him into their computers so he could infest them with malware for the purpose of data theft and to make the computers into Zombie Computers." He STILL kept after me to do whatever it was on my computer that he wanted me to do!!!! I played him along a bit further and then finally tired of the game with the mouse that simply would not die and hung up on the freak. LOL!!!

While I was sitting here typing this that same number called yet, again!!!! This time when I answered there was just silence.

They are using more than one spoofed phone number: The number they used to call me "from" is 302-365-2856

While Pratt gave out info they should not have they did do the right thing by hanging up.

This is a scam that nefarious entities use to dupe people into allowing them into their computers for the purpose of data theft (e.g.: banking info and other personal info that should NEVER be put through a home computer) and also to plant mal-ware which turns the compromised computer into a spam-spewing Zombie computer within a Botnet. Don't know what those terms mean??? Look them up and LEARN!!!

Yeh, me too. I told him I ran Linux. Didn't phase the [***] at all! Wasted his time for a bit so he'd bother one or two less people then had to hang up cuz I was wasting my time, too.

Computer and Software companies NEVER make calls like this! EVER! Melissa gave way too much info and allowed her computer to be compromised even though it didn't LOOK like it was. Sad.

The number is SPOOFED to LOOK like it comes from Delaware. It does NOT!!!

Putting as stop to the ability to SPOOF numbers would help. Although, probably, not much.

I also try and mess with them by acting as they are talking about actual physical windows. I even have invented my own accent. I explain that I wash my windows often and don't know why he would think I have an infection!

this number called my home #, we don't answer unknowns but this site confirms it is yet another annoyance, thank you to people who post!

Calls repeatedly, no message left

They called me at 1pm, I didn't pick up, called me at 1:20pm, I didn't pick up. I am sooooooooooo sick of these stupid phone calls rolling in unendingly. It's 1:35 pm and JUST today I have had 7 solicitation calls and I'm on the "DO NOT CALL" list !! This is a personal invasion of privacy and citizens have somehow got to find a way to unite to prevent this chronic abuse.
I never take solicitation calls anyway. They get nowhere with me. It's a waste of time and beyond annoying. It is also a gross misuse of advertising/soliticitation because it just pisses people off.

Received so many calls on Monday....at least 10....I told the caller not to call back...must have pissed him off....calledback again and my husband was NOT nice...

This number is calling over and over, every 30 minutes.  (I haven't picked up and they do not leave a message.  This is their 5th call today.)  The Caller ID shows "Saxton Lank Agn".

This same scam is occurring in Arizona.  "Lank A. Saxton" calls about every 20 minutes, but does not leave a message.  I am glad I found this site and read everyone's comments before I picked up the phone.  The phone number showing on my caller ID is 302-365-6856.  

These [***] keep calling me using different names and numbers. Best advice don't EVER answer the phone if you don't recognize the number. If it's important they will leave a message if they don't piss on them. When people answer the phone that just gives the scammers more info like male,female,young or older. DON,T ANSWER  THE PHONE

India accent, told me my Windows Computer is badly infected with a virus.  I don't have Windows.  That what I said, and he hung up.
