I answered the phone. He said he was with some kind of company (he said it a couple of times but i forgot) but that i had completed some kind of survey and that they check for people to see if they want local jobs. He asked the usual questions single/married. Employed or not. GED or not. Then I asked why my survey would give them the impression that I wanted a new job. He repeated the line about the company and what it does. There was always a moderately long pause before he would answer any of my questions. Almost the exact same amount of time. I asked how many times I would have to ask the same questions before this recording would hang up on me. (pause) (chuckle) I'm sorry. but am I that good at my job he asked. I said I'm sorry but you keep saying the exact same thing and you haven't answered why you would think i want a new job. There was the same pause and then he hung up. I think it was either an extremely high tech automated response machine or some one was listening and then pressing the appropriate buttons to give pre-prepared answers.

Much like the above....   I do participate in some on-line surveys, but have never indicated that I was looking for a new job.   I have no idea how they obtained my cell number.

I have filed a complaint at DoNotCall.gov and urge others to do the same.
