Recieved a text from 1(210)-100-001 that read

FRM: 302-400-1801
SUBJ: lets make some sweet music together

Received many texts from this number using a text service

Received text, it said from 467301704601682.  The message was, "about to do a magic act on my livestream..gonna make my PANTIES DISAPEAR!  txt me if u wanna see, my number is 302-400-1801.  Neutral Tandem is the company who owns the phone number, an internet phone call provider.  Should be illegal.

Hi, I work for Neutral Tandem and while the number does belong to us, it is not assigned and is a vacant number. We also do not provide any texting services. We don't know who is using this number or how they're making or receiving texts from it but it's not coming from our network. I would suggest that if you receive a text from this number, you contact your cellular provider and tell them that you're receiving harassing texts and they should be able to investigate the issue.

I got this message this morning and I have no idea who it is or how they got my number. Is this like a virus or a hacker?

I started receiving texts from this number. Obviously a scam. Is there a way to stop them from sending me messages without saving the number in my phone?

For a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

For text messages: forwarding any text message spam you get to the short code  “7726,” which spells “spam” on most phones, to alert your network operator to the abuse. ATT won't accept 7726 But they will accept BLOCK and return a message that the web site is blocked. forward the texts to 7726 or BLOCK, depending on your phone carrier.
