Claimed he is a caller investigating tax crimes for the CRA. Sounded quite realistic since he suggested that you or your attorney call this number back. However, I doubt if the CRA operates in this manner and would not be using an American phone number!!

Yes, I had the same call. It is a scam.

Just got a voicemail from a Robert William from the CRA Crime Division, he sounds very official and somewhat threatening, he makes you want to double check your voicemail also he does have a slight accent which he is trying to hide but it's there.  The caller does not identify who he wants to talk to, just to call him back and to contact your attorney.  I went to the CRA website to check if this call was legit and by all accounts it seemed that it was not then I punch in the phone number (which if it was the CRA would be toll-free) and found this website.  I feel more confident now that this is a scam and it ends here.

Got the same call. What a loser passing himself as a CRA agent and calling from USA. The scammer has a accent. Double loser
