- Concerned Citizen| 2 repliesIt was a voice recording that said "Call the IRS Hot line. The issue is very time sensitive and your address is under state investigation. Sell before IRS seize your property and bank accounts. Call IRS as soon as possible." I have reported this to the IRS Impersonation Scam Reporting at https://www.treasury.gov/tigta/contact_report_scam.shtml

- kk| 2 repliesThis number called and claimed to be from IRS. One David Brown with a thick Indian accent. He told me my property was under investigation because I have not paid my taxes. When I challenged him, he threatened to seize all my properties and arrest me. I told him on the phone this was a scam and he hanged up on me. 20 secs later another number called claiming to be from our local district police station and the officer gave his name as Officer Ricardo asked me if I was at home and that he was coming to arrest me within the next hour for defrauding the IRS. I challenged him and told him to give me the address of the local police dept to turn myself in and he hanged up the phone on me. I'm still waiting for the so called arrest.
This is a real scam. I have reported to the IRS- Caller: IRS
- Crazy mad womanReceived a call twice within one minute from this number in the afternoon but did not answer the phone. Earlier in the morning on the same day, I had received a telephone call from 302-397-3259 claiming to be an IRS agent and that I had been under investigation for quite some time for fraud. When I started screaming in his ear and asking him to provide proof, he hung up the phone. Person spoke with an Indian accent.
- Glnp replies to kk| 1 replyIt happened the same to me and I found its very rediculous so I hung up even though that David Brown warned me it I hung up all my banks accts and passport will be suspended for next 5yrs. I needed to research more about this call and here I find. Thanks for posting this up
- Glnp replies to GlnpAdding to my note--the next couple minutes I got a call from 405-258-9635 Chandler, OK I did not pick up. But when I called this back its a disconnected number...very strange. I doubt it's the same group of people playing scam. Be more careful and search unfamiliar phone numbers before take a call.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
