Called and said local police has issued a warrant against me for not paying taxes for some foreign transaction I made and asking me to note some numbers .... How to respond ???

I have also received the call with same information.

I got a call few minutes before from the same number and same message.

what is the best way to respond? To whom?

Ignore!!!!!  Warrants are delivered WITHOUT WARNING!!  You have a scammer contacting you.

Legitimate process servers do not call to warn you, or to get money from you to stop the process.  They will deliver the notification without warning.

I got a call from 302-504-6257 saying I have a warrant against me and I owe IRS money. He sounded so genuine, I beleived him. Luckily did not give any bank details.
