I have received this same message from 2 numbers - (302) 732-0464 (8/24/23) and (323) 649-8444 (8/8/23):
"Hello, it's Sheri. This is not a typical telemarketer call. I am a state funds investigator and I have an important information about money that's being held on your behalf. Please call me today on (302) 732-0464. Again, that's (302) 732-0464. If I don't hear from you by tomorrow, I will call you back the following day and I only work on files for approximately 3 days and will trying calling only once more. Please indicate the best time to call you back if you receive my voicemail service. Thank you."

I received the same voice mail message and am wondering if it's real or a scam.

Seriously?  If you have "State Funds" then your State Treasurer would know about them and would have published them on their official State Treasurer Website where you could claim the funds for free instead of paying these scummy scammer to fill out simple forms for you.
