got a call and they hung up

I see this number on my caller id all the time.  I tried to call it back once right after they called me and it said the number is disconnected.

Called my cell phone and my home phone. Returned the "Missed call" on my cell phone and was told number was no longer in service. Received call an hour later on my home phone -- no response on the other end but the line remained open until I hung up.

Called and asked for the person in charge of credit card transactions.

It is a company that does merchant services, but cannot call back to have them stop calling me.

Disconnect recording is bogus. It is not a standard LEC or CLEC recording and does not identify the carrier. Probably set up on the caller's PBX.

Registered a complaint with the Colorado atty. General's office: https://www.coloradonocall.com/ and also with the FTC: https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx. I recommend doing the same if you see this number.

Wanted to speak with the person that takes care of credit card purchases. I asked her if she was selling something and she stated no that she wanted to alert me to a rate increase that started April 2014. She went on inform me she could save me 10 to 30% on purchases .  Again, she was told I was not interested and began to argue with me.  

Kathleen called and referred to me as"her" after I clearly stated my name at the beginning of the call, if she does not listen to me why would I listen to her pitch.
