This number has called my personal phone, father’s phone, and work phone leaving messages saying that I am facing criminal charges. This is unacceptable. I do not appreciate these people calling my job telling my job referring to me as a criminal. This has caused me to get in trouble at work and I will be contacting a lawyer to file charges against this company for compromising my character at the work place.

The people (and I use that term loosely) calling you are criminal scammers.  They are breaking the law when they tell other people about your alleged debt.  It is also against the law to threaten legal action when they do not intend to take it.  Further, even if you did owe a debt, there is no debtor's prison so you wouldn't be put in jail anyway.  Real debt collectors abide by the FDCPA and will mail you validation of the debt.  Do not give any information to these crooks!

I just got a call from this number saying that I would get served at my job if I do not contact Nationwide about a claim that was filed against me.. What should I do?
