- mimi| 1 replycalled and said I owed them money and was going to be served.
- Harry C replies to mimiIt's a scam
- Right...| 5 repliesA fraud if I have ever heard one.
1. Leaves a computerized (and tacky) message that goes on forever.
2. Says name... then says the person and their social security number have fraud... (really, how was that confirmed?)
3. Informs that the person is about to be summoned... but to call the PLACE WITH NO NAME...
4. Gives a case number and the phone number to call...
Wow... No name of this supposed "legit" law office? court? And, oh, by the way... is this a debt? Where is a debt validation letter? What type of contact have you given? Oh, and by the way... acting like a government official IS a Federal offense. Might want to check into that scammers. Also... After this supposed summons... that person in question doesn't have any rights. Really?

- doug| 1 replyJust got a call from this number to a general PBX trunk number from work and it was a message for a Valarie Francis (whom I don't know or work with) with a case #m31627 in the recording. Then the blah blah about being served and stuff others have listed.. called the number back and a guy did answer but then disconnected before I could say anything.
- theprofessionalcollectorThis company is a DEBT COLLECTION AGENCY violating a lot of laws. I received a message stating I was being sued in civil court but when I called to acquire the information, it was unavailable for review. They could not provide court information or company information. They gave several company names, Allen & Associates, County Summons Court Processing and AA& Associates as well as locations. This group of individuals are extremely unprofessional but they only make $9. per hour what can you expect, no education, no customer skills, no negotiation skills, just people paid to annoy others. Requested to speak with manager transferred to Ron Gray, Chris Lockhart, William Green all pretending to be either the manager or supervisor but refused to any real information. This company makes those really trying to help people resolve credit issues look bad.

- Lakeysha KaufmanIf collections is your calling, get a job from a real company that you can actually learn and grow from, not one who hides behind its employees and phone. I've been a collector and worked with other agencies that were genuinely there to collect payment and make arrangements. For the $9. is it worth being ignorant and immature, you'd be better at In-N-Out or McDonald's where they TEACH you how to run a million dollar business at the push of a button. Misrepresentation and nonprofessional-ism is always a great indicator that a company wont be around long, the government will shut them down for violating the Fair Debt Collection Practice Act real soon.

- Kimberlee Jackson| 3 repliesRecieved a call from 307-316-0806 saying that someone had got a hold of my ssn and it was involved in a fraud....They left a case number and a phone number to return their call. What the heck...I've never been to Wyoming or any place near it....And it was a machine and some of the speaking sounded French....What the is going on?
- Db replies to Kimberlee Jackson| 2 repliesSame exact thing here , exact mess and everything, GEESH these people
- Db replies to Right...| 1 replyYes lol that's what the mess says, that after you've been served you have given up any rights. Wow!
- AngryI've got this message to I'm wondering if its a specific phone company that they're targeting or this just anybody. I tried calling it wouldn't even describe the name of the company that I was calling nor have I gotten a call back. but that if it's coming from Wyoming I've never even been to Wyoming. this sounds like a scam I'm not sure why so much are doing a scam this way I'm not sure if freak me out I got enough stuff I gotta deal with right now and that phone call was some I didn't want luckily I know some people from high places on to see if I can figure this out thing is the government has done nothing about it.
- Right replies to DbLove it. They just tried to call today. And, it's Veteran's Day. ??? Not sure where they are, but anything connected with the government is OFF today (for the most part). Idiocy in the extreme. Call blocker stopped the 1980's computer message from being left.
- ElishaDefinitely a scam!! Been through this many times!
- Doug replies to dougI got the same message again today 11-1113 12:45pm..
- Not Buying it| 1 replyI received the same message a week and a half ago, but it was from different tn# that was referenced to South Dakota 605-496-0553. same exact message from both. I called the 605 number at first, and they never answered and then this 307# started coming up. I spoke with a girl, who said her name so fast I didn't catch it, and she didn't repeat it. That's ok though I have the call recorded. she said something about a loan that had been taken out and wanted to know how I was going to resolve it, I told her I didn't know what she was talking about and she then stated that if she doesn't hear from me by end of the day 7pm est, then my case will be forwarded to the DA(district attorney) to serve me to go to court. I told her she may or may NOT hear from me by then. i will be filing a complaint against them in the morning with the Attorney general for harassment and fraud. Where I live Pay day loans are deemed illegal in our state so any case presented won't be looked into on the courts part, but I will be filing a complaint on them, and I have the recorded message for them to investigate further. I hate Scammers trying to use scare tactics to harass people. They should be ashamed. And what about those that believe this and provide their info and get taken because of it.

- MichelleI have this exact same issue with these people calling, how do we stop them from calling?
- FED UP| 1 replygot the same unprofessional call on my work phone 3 times in the last 2 months. These people are really shady and very stupid in how they approach their so called "business of collections". You would think that a reputable company would identify themselves first and not leave any information, such as case numbers in a voice mail. Hope these scammers rot where they sit--

- Alfalfa replies to FED UPThe Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:
•is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
•refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
•asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
•exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.
If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:
•Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.•Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.
•Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft – charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.
•Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate – but you think the collector may not be – contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.
•Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.
http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0258-fake-debt-collectors - AnnoyedHow can we get these people to stop calling us!?
They aren't even saying my name when they call. I don't have debt so it isn't me they are after. They end it with "Good luck in court." Really?- Caller: I have no idea.
