- Gloria Blakeney| 4 repliesI had a call from this number about 5 p m . They were calling about my book Poems Short Stories and Things Remembered. I wound up giving these people the numbers of my Visa Cards and my MasterCard. This was to cover the entire cost of the program. The two people I spoke with was Kelly Roache and Brad. Brad was supposed to call me back in about 30 minutes. It is now 8:30 p m and still no call. I tried to call this number and wasnt able to speak with anyone.
- Caller: OKIR publishing company
- Jimmer replies to Gloria BlakeneyGloria, you should cancel your cards immediately! Sounds like a scam, especially asking for 2 cards. Why would they need that? Let this be a lesson to you. Never, never give out financial information unless you initiate the call and you know to whom you are speaking. Check with your card companies to see if any unauthorized purchases or cash withdrawals have been made. Report this to the Better Business Bureau and the Federal Trade Commission. The FTC website as at https://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0076-phone-scams. As you can see from the FTC website these scammers can be very persuasive and friendly. Kelly and Brad are probably phony names, but you never know. Good luck.
- JessicaThey called me too, claiming to represent a literary agency, and that they were interested in optioning an unpublished novel my father wrote years ago for a film. Continued with their pitch after I told them he has been deceased for six years. They claim they were referred by a "literary scout" but could/would not give this scout's name. What a racket. I've filed an FTC complaint as well.

- Carolyn| 1 replyJust received a call on my voicemail. My book had been recommended to them and they were interested in it becoming part of a Book Expo in N.Y.....
- Caller: Sophia
- RanitaJust received a voice mail that said " This is Sophia I am trying to contact Ranita about her book. It is of importance you call me back as soon as possible at 304-306-8277 , xt:363." She did not mention the title of my book nor did she identify the company she was with=first clue that it was a scam. I did self publish about 7 years ago and only had 100 copies which were sold locally and given to family. So it is VERY doubtful this is a legitimate call. I then looked this number up online and came across these comments. So glad to have this forum for guidance!

- Ramona Anderson| 1 replySaw 2 missed calls on my phone and tried to call them back. Their end was hard to hear, but I did pick up literary and publishing. Got a little excited as I thought they might be a small firm interested in publishing one of my self-published novels. Decided to check out the number online and glad I did. Appears to be a scam. Oh well.

Have a wonderful day and thank you for your feedback - BigA replies to Aiman UsmanYour Attorneys have relocated their office so you had to as well? Why, so you could be across the hall from them every time you get sued? You have nothing better to do than to troll websites such as this to do damage control? You have never heard of phone number portability? If your company phone number is in the 307 area code, why is your number in the 619 area code?
I don't think that was feedback. I think that person was notifying people that your scam operation has changed addresses. - DanDo not work with OKIR they are the same company with Plenus Publishing ( Which is a scam company, now in total shut down). They are not in the united stated all of them are located in the Philippines.
