Who is this caller??  Second time called...once to my home phone and one to my cell???

ever since i got my galaxy note 2, i've been getting calls from this area code. i put on auto reject list on my phone but still calls get through? How?

I answered, they said they were doing a survey.  I told him I could not verify the phone number through the University of Wyoming and told him to take me off their list.  I previously looked on the UW website and did a phone number search with no results.

This call is from Wyoming. They do academic survey research on behalf of a number of different state and federal agencies (Montana Dept. of Health, Louisiana Dept. of Health, North Dakota Dept. of Health, etc.). Most surveys measure a number of health indicators (smoking, disease, etc.) to help the State address these issues and measure change over time. They hand dial every number, which is a randomly generated string of numbers. If you answer and ask to be put on their do not call list they will happily do so.  All surveys have undergone OMB or Institutional Review Board approval, and all are TCPA compliant.  Not a scam.

So, you decided to look up 307-766-xxxx numbers on the internet came to complaints website, and then sing your employer's praises.?Looks like you are doing damage control.

Notice on the earliest one he claims he received a call and did the survey.  Then in later posts he magically knows all about them - what other states they survey for, how compliant they are etc...

Apparently you know much about that company.
However, your forgot to tell us
* Their legal name
* Their website, if any
* Their full and legal address

Without that info we cannot validate your claim.
Unvalidated claims are subject to extreme doubts about their legitimacy.

I apologize - the first messages were mistakes - we wanted to make a post for each number we call from to make sure anyone who searched knew who was calling them.  I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have.

So, call the university of Wyoming directly. Guarantee they don't have a survey deptartment. If they are conducting studies, those are funded and they would pay you in person for your time. They would it do it on the phone.

So you're trying to make us believe that your post about actually taking the survey was a "mistake". Uh, no.  It's called a lie. That, and your unwillingness to answer Slim's questions makes this very suspicious.
