I knew it was a spoofed call now calling back has no area code listed just a number

They call every day I never pick up. Says Irvine CA with a Los Angeles area code...

When the phone was picked up, no one was there, just dead air. Calls frequently, no message.

They have been calling throughout the day and it's a 310 with an Irvine location. I don't pick it up.  When I finally did they actually asked to speak to my daughter and I asked who it was in in a very condescending voice she said " are you SB & I said no, who is this and she said your not SB I don't want to talk to you and I said "this is her mother"....she hung up! So annoying.  Another number to block

Called 2ce in just a few minutes. I have call ID blocking so I'm going to try calling back but I'm sure it will be a fake # or something. They have called MANY MANY times and always just hang up.

They call from a strange line, which prompts a fax ring on my phone.
When I answered, they hung up.  When I called back it said the number was disconnected.
Rather scary.

have been getting these calls periodically and it says CPLA as if it's supposed to mean something to me?

They never leave a voice mail.  I just called the number back and it was a disconnected number -- so it must be a spoof call.

Over the last 3 months, this number has called mine 8-12 times daily, from 9 AM to 9 PM.  Although my voice mail picks it up, there is never any message and I personally never answer.

If I do not pick up the phone, they do not leave a voicemail. If I do answer the phone, they instantly hang up. They call at least once a day.
What's the point?

They call multiple times a day.

They've called several times, they asked for my father but I hung up.  There was an echo and it sound quality was really sketchy.

Probably a shady collection agency or one of those "free cruise" scams of which they call from many different numbers.

They called me around dinnertime yesterday, and after my machine picked up, I heard a click then a dial tone.

The ID said "Unknown Name" of course.  I never answer calls with ID's I don't recognize.  If I recognized the NUMBER, I would have picked up.  But I didn't so no go.

Caller ID reflects CPLA and has called numerous times as reflected on my caller list. When I reply no one nor any noise can be heard. Just air. I leave the phone on until the buzzer rings then I hang up.

They have called me from different numbers. They are for an organization called "Neighborhood Integrity Initiative". So annoying!!

Called back and it was a yes on s campaign.
Likely an automated call company that companies hire for different reasons.
