Spoofed number. Says out of area but using local area code. Blocked but get daily calls. Starting to wonder why I have a land line.

CallerID says "unknown name".  Called twice within seconds and left no message.

Caller ID said "unavailable."  When I answered and asked about the nature of the call, the caller said, "This is Mark Gamble and the purpose of this recorded call is ......" I told him the call was NOT to be recorded and he hung up.

Caller claims to be from the "Veterans Homeless Shelter", but with so many scams and spams that pretend to be affiliated with known (and worthy causes) non-profits (as demonstrated by a 60 Minutes episode on the subject). As a result I only deal with the organization directly and never through an unsolicited phone call.

One more scam organization where the money collected goes to line the pockets of a few greedy [***] instead of going to the people who really need your donations. Don't donate to this group!

Blocked a call from this # on 04.17.17 at 6:30 pm. I don't know how accurate another web site is for the origin of the call but appears to be at the intersection of Wilshire Blvd and Lucas Avenue in downtown Los Angeles. I've noticed many calls from this same location for many other numbers. If it is accurate, that would be the call center for this tele-scummers.
