Missed a call from this number. Who is it? thank you.

it just said "California" on caller id
no message was left

Got a call from this number just a few minutes ago.  I answered and there was a few seconds of connection with the muffled sounds of voices at the other end (like call center background noise)then the line disconnected.

I had it recorded on my answering machine.  Did *69, it's from Santa Monica, CA.  She says very fast "I want to speak with you, NOW" then disconnects.  Very weird.

I too have been receiving numerous calls from that number. Hang up calls, no messages and then finally a partial recorded message was left. That's why I just googled it and came across this site. The partial voicemail message I received claimed they were doing some kind of promotion and are in my neighborhood this week. That part I found extremely amusing since I live near Toronto in Canada. There's a few thousand mikes between Santa Monica, CA and Toronto, ON. Very weird in deed. I couldn't make out at all what the company name was. They are persistent and annoying if nothing else calling my house at least 4 times a week.

Glad I found this site and will bookmark it for future reference.

i also got a call from this number, n i also live near Toronto, but i missed the call, when i seen it said California n i got excited n wanted to find out more info, thats how i got here, tho theres not much info here either... well if anyone finds out what this number is for, let me know... ty

Just got a call from this number, looked it up and came to this site. Seems like telemarketers trying to reach 415 numbers ( San Fransisco ) but dialed 416 instead (?).

Uh....I don't think its a mistake....been getting these calls on and off now for a few days....it only rings 3 times and disconnects....my number is a 905.....also living the the Greater Toronto Area.

I received a call from them yesterday (July 22) @ 4:23pm and I'm not in the 416 area code either. I'm in 905.
I've also received a call from 867-668-4456 Yukon NWT nunav on the 16th of July @ 9:42am....

Got a call from this number today.  No message left.  I'm in 705.

This appeared on caller id as California, even though I also live near Toronto as other people on this board do. The call came July 23.

I got the call in Toronto on July 24,2007 at about 6:00. Didn't answer it.

It's a verizon cell...no one speaks when the call is answered...I got the call just this morning....very stange...though it was a friend in Cali, but I did not recognize the number.  I am in the 705 area code

Why are all these people in Ontario getting these weird calls.  I missed mine this morning and no message was left. ..........WTF

Received call from 1-310-455-8061 about an hour ago. Just hissing static. I held for about three minutes before replacing the handset.

I too got a call from this number and was freaked out to see that so many others are as well when I googled the number.  I thought it was the California Closet company calling, but wondered where the hell 310 is.  I guess it is so-cal.  Very odd and freaky!

I have also gotten both those numbers call me... Never answer when they call tho.  Do you by chance have Mountian Cable Phone Services??
