Got a call from 310-587-2046 on my cell, female voice said it was an important call about my credit card, something about last chance to take advantage of lowering interest rate - I hung up. I have not had a credit card in over 7 years. Tried calling the number back several times - either get a busy signal, or it rings for over a minute with no answer. I suspect this is some kind of fishing scheme or attempt to steal cc account #'s.

The callers are the drug-addicted "card services" scammers, who call us, pretending to be associated with our credit card companies, in an attempt to fool us into giving them our credit card numbers, so they can rip us off. People that have given their card number to these junkies have suffered severe financial losses. Beware of these lowlifes, and warn others, before they are cheated!

Come to think of it, the Polar Vortex came right after Target discovered it had been hacked.  Hmm...

Just received a call I didn't pick up in time, but I've only given my cell number to a handful of persons, because I can't handle any more scam calls, which seem, overall, to relate to Medicare lists. I must have given my cell to someone recently, as this is one of the first likely scam calls I've received on this phone. Since I didn't recognize the number, I decided to check a reverse lookup before returning the call. I'm going to check to see who I gave this number to recently to see how this call was generated. I have severely painful injuries right now, have difficulty sleeping, as Kaiser will not provide a long acting pain med and it's painful to just lie in bed, no matter how much medication I take. Answering these calls is pushing me over the edge.I'm on the 'do not call' lists. Are they working at all for anyone?

Spoke to a representative from this company as I have selected the option to have my number removed off their list a dozen times. The company is called "Credit Card Services" out of South Africa. They use this number along with a bunch of other phone numbers, but the recorded message is the same. This is nothing more than an identity theft ring trying to get personal information. According to the employee they are not subject to US Law including the Do Not Call Listing and as such will continue to harass me until I purchase their services. According to Ashashabib (no clue if this spelling is even close, but he pronounced it that way), "If you just sign up then we won't call you back."

I for one will not let some South African scam artist threaten me, so time to take this up with higher powers.

I  forgot to include that he was pressing me very hard for information like credit card numbers, social, dob, etc., Thank you my 2 teen boys interrupting me with questions about if I can stop and give the cat a flea treatment so it can come back inside.

The card service scammers   WILL   "service" our credit cards,   BUT,   when they finish "servicing" them, they will have no available credit remaining!

Just missed a call from this number.  Glad I missed it, since I got a call from a different (more than likely unreleated) unknown number within the last few days, which, when I looked it up, was also a scam.  With the information above, I will be blocking this number and reporting it to the Do Not Call Registry that I've been on since its inception.  Thanks!

Answered the call from 310-587-2046 and heard recorded voice saying that I had a limited time to lower the interest rate on my credit card.  Ha, I have none.  This is some bull.  Was prompted to press 1 but figured that hitting any such button would cause me a problem down the road.  I am curious if even answering the call has put me in some jeopardy.  Does anyone know if answering the phone automatically opens you up to some sort of phone hack?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Same situation: I was at worked and missed this call. Quick search found the number to be a Verizon number located in Santa Monica, CA. They did not leave a message which tells me that the call was not important enough to do so. I won't ever return the call or answer their calls. In fact, I  will add the # to my contacts so I can block them or send them straight to voice mail. They will eventually get the point.
