    Oops.  I meant 9:18am on Thursday, 01/22/2015.
    When I looked further on the internet, I found: MPower Communications Corp. Redondo Beach, CA

    (When I originally "looked up" I got "Matthews Pierce & Lloyd", Commercial Debt Recovery and Accounts Receivable Management.  However, when I went back (to mycallbots, after looking at the "Matthews..." link), I could not recreate the "Matthews..." link.  When I went to the "Matthews..." link, the number 310-698-1823 was nowhere to be found.

    Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of the date of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

    I answered the call on my cell.  It was someone who wanted me to get a copy of my PG&E bill to confirm which rebate program I qualify for.

    Same thing for me.   Suspected and said I will pass- the woman on the phone just did not let me get off the phone!  I had to hang up at the end...   this number continued to call my cell phone every other day..   I stopped answering them.

    same call, they ask me to get my PGE bill, i just left them on hold while i googled the number...waiting on hold with PGE now to see if this is a legitimate call, which i highly doubt....PGE said its not from them and DO NOT give them ANY info

    Same here.. 2 weeks ago - it was a female caller who wants my pge bill so i can sign up for the program.  I told her i am in the office and has no access to bill.  Got another call today 27jan and did not pick up. Added the number to call reject list on my samsung.

    some man said 3 times  "Hello" and hang up.

    They said they were PGE calling about a rebate. I asked who they were calling for and they couldn't answer. I turned it around ask asked who they were. They hung up in a hurry. Stinks of scam.

    First of all, a Better Business Bureau rating means nothing.  Anyone can pay a fee to join.

    I just got another call from these people - who I have told numerous times to remove my name from their list.  I told the guy that "if he calls this number one more time, I will come thru the phone and rip his balls out thru his nostrils, can I make it any clearer?"

    They have called my verizon cell phone many times, when I answer they don't respond - there is silence.  They then hang me up.  Today at 11:45/A.M., it happened again.  There caller I. D. indicates "Los Angeles".  Today I called them back.  They claim there calling from PG&E (Pacific Gas & Electric) and tried to start a sales conversation.  I quickly ended the conversation and told them I don't want future telephone calls.  They said they wouldn't call anymore.  We'll see if that's true.

    Cold call from someone referencing pg&e asking if I knew I was eligible for pg&e discount program. He started with; "I'm calling about your PG & E bill". When asked if they were with pg&e several times he refused to answer that question even telling me, "Listen sir!". Very rude and non-responsive to direct questions. Already of aware of aggressive marketers trying to switch you from pg&e, I hung up as he was still talking and have blocked this number.

    These marketers are very aggressive and prey on folks to try and get PRIVATE information like your account number. Do not give it to them! If in doubt, call pg&e to find out if they called you.

    Called me a couple times but never left a msg. One time I finally answered and a female said she was calling about my PG&E bill. I told her "I think you have the wrong number." She seemed flustered and said "Well do you I pay for gas, electricity, etc" and I said "No, I live on my college campus." She said "Oh sorry *uncomfortable laugh*" and hung up. They kept calling after but I never answered again because I didn't realize until now that it was the same #. I'm adding to my blocked caller list.

    I got a call yesterday from this number.  The caller was a Ms. Turner.  She wanted me to give her some information from my latest PGE bill.  She claimed that I could lock in my rates by giving her the actual rates of my gas and electricity.  Then, according to Ms Turner, when the PGE person reads my meter I will be charged the same amount as from my prior bills.  (Considering that we are going into the warmer season, my bill for gas and electricity will be going down anyway -- I do not see the need for this "service".)

    Thank You for the posts that are on this site as I felt there was something fishy about this call.  I received the call at my business office.
